Turnitin Clarity is a writing workspace inside Turnitin Feedback Studio where students draft their assignments and instructors can see how the text came about. Schools and universities license it as a paid add-on to Feedback Studio for essays and other written coursework. The vendor says an optional AI assistant, powered by Anthropic's Claude Haiku 4.5, gives students feedback and guidance under a system prompt that tells it not to write whole papers, that a citations checker also uses Claude Haiku 4.5, and that grammar feedback uses Amazon Nova 2 Lite. Instructors get writing-process playback with flagged points of interest and, when Turnitin Originality is also licensed, Turnitin's AI writing detection in the Writing Report. Instructors choose whether to switch the AI assistant on and how complex its answers are, and Turnitin says its integrity indicators support, but do not make, a misconduct decision.
